Everybody is going to have their own opinion on this one, but for me I say it's the male dog that seems to bond better with my kids. Our little girl is very standoffish and likes to keep to her self.
I do think the little males are more protective and do better with children. Or this has been my experience. But I have only had 3 chis with 1 being male, and the 2 I have now are females. But..I love 'em all.
